From the desk of Dan:
RE: Spoken Word
On April 28th there will be a spoken word version of 950 Watts (KTRU sponsored events live at Rice University), and we're looking for people to provide the words, i.e. to read their original prose/poetry/other. There are no restrictions on form or content; feel free to be creative (multimedia readings are encouraged). If you're interested in reading, please get in touch with me at dsanta@rice.edu. The more readers, the more interesting it will be.
The live readings will take place in the Brown Garden in the Rice University Ley Student Center biginninng at 9:00 pm. Call 713-527-4050 for more information.

Upcoming Kayumanggi CD release
Koy (Many of you know him from the Presidents) is about to release a cd of his solo project Kayumanggi. All of the songs are his original compositions and are in Tagalog (Filipino language)
The CD will include performances from several other musicians you may know: Oliver Eclarinal, Ted Jaceldo, Mario Vela, Tchiya Amet, Dwayne Moore, and Annemarie Scandalis.

Upcoming travel
Fall 1999 travel will be determined and posted before the end of April. If you have ideas or want information, be sure to contact me soon. Tentatively: October may take us to the Navajo Nation Fair in Shiprock. Thanksgiving-time travel is very much up in the air. December looks like a white Christmas in northern New Mexico. Plan ahead.
