Poet Susan Love Fitts presents her monthly Poetry Nite Live! program Saturday, July 20th, at 7:00
Guest poet for the evening will be Susan Naomi Bernstein. Bernstein is an assistant professor of English at the University of Houston-Downtown and a writer in residence for Writers in the Schools in Houston. Her poetry has been published in "Thirteenth Moon", "Teaching English in the Two-Year College", "New Menorah" and other journals. Bernstein's article "Learning How Not to Hate School: A Poetry Workshop in the Writing Center" is published in the current edition of "Florida English Journal" and her textbook *A Brief Guide to the Novel* was published earlier this year by Longman.
After Bernstein's reading, Fitts will facilitate an Open Mic Session. All poets are invited to read their own works at that time.
