Enjoy reading the translated text of Cabeza de Vaca. De Vaca's text was not divided into chapters when he first wrote Relaccion. We have created sections for organizational purposes. No text has been moved in the Bandelier translation (this one), or placed in any other order, such as in Cyclone Covey's.

There are other translations available, in print. Cyclone Covey published one several years ago and others are available through University of Nebraska Press and Arte Publico Press at University of Houston.
