Olmos produced the exhibit and companion book "Americanos," and played the role of Selena Quintania's father in Selena.
2000 Cultural Advocate of the Year Rigoberta Menchu
For bringing attention to social issues affecting women and indigenous people of North America and making their concers known to the world.
Menchu received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 and continues to work for indigenous rights.
2001 Cultural Advocates of the Year Ravi Shankar and George Harrison
For enriching the quality of life by promoting worldwide interest in the cultural, classical and devotional musics of all peoples.
