Description

The collections of the Stark Museum of Art reflect the Stark family's interest in the land, wildlife and people of the American West. The Stark Museum, designed by Austin architects Page Southerland Page, opened to the public in 1978 as one of the many projects initiated by the Nelda C. and H. J. Lutcher Stark Foundation to enrich the cultural life of Southeast Texas.

Open 10:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday (except major holidays). Admission is free.

In 2001, the Stark Museum embarked on a long-term institutional partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. This exciting partnership will enable the MFAH to bring to Houston some of the exraordinary collections in a series of rotating exhibitions.
