Description	The central philosophy of Several Dancers Core, a non-profit professional dance organization, is one of commitment to the creative process, self contemplation and expression, and itŐs role in the future of our community. We feel that given the experience of exercising our creative potential, individuals will begin to influence their lives and society in positive ways. As a primary goal, Several Dancers Core provides opportunities and support for artists, particularly artists working in the genre of contemporary dance and performance. Support for individual thinkers -- those who work apart from the mainstream to develop creative points of view -- is often unavailable and therefore limits access to opportunities available to others. These artists may realize their own vision only when opportunities are unveiled and support is granted.

Classes and Workshops	Fieldwork, a ten-week session for multi-disciplinary artists to give and receive feedback in their artistic process. Make work out of isolation, and gain insight to audience response early on in the making of the work. Critical Response, a community-building learning process for artist and viewer on how we look at and build art. Created by Liz Lerman, her multi-disciplinary Critical Response process is used all over the country and allows artist-controlled, non-judgmental feedback. CORE Performance Company, the professional modern dance company within Several Dancers Core, provides community workshops within schools and senior centers, offers residency activities, and repertory performances. Additional Information	Several Dancers Core chooses to actively connect with our community by serving as a dynamic resource, partner, and collaborator to many groups and organizations. We provide educational opportunities, integrate information and resources, and facilitate creative thinking and problem-solving for those we serve.
