Description	The German-Texan Heritage Society is a group of individuals with the common goal of furthering German-Texan culture through many activities and promoting awareness and preservation of the German cultural heritage in Texas. Founded in 1978, the German-Texan Heritage Society is renowned for the books it publishes, its collection of immigrant and historical books, and the complete collection on microfiche of the German newspaper, Texas Vorwaerts. The German-Texas Heritage Society works closely with German organizations in the Houston area as well as other German organizations in Texas.
