Organization The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston

Category Musical Theatre, Comedy

Description Early in 1952, the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston was formed by a very small group of G&S aficionados. Initially, they performed only for friends and family, wearing signs to identify their characters. After almost fifty years, the Society remains a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to its original purpose: To share the special comic wit of W. S. Gilbert and the sparkling music of Arthur Sullivan with Houstonians.
