Aurora Picture Show Seeks Part Time Administrative Assistant


Job Description
Aurora Picture Show is seeking to appoint a part time (15 hours/week) administrator to assist the Executive Director in the day-to-day management of the organization. Candidates should have a background in film, video or visual arts, with excellent oral, written and computer skills. Hours are flexible, but some weekends are required.

Duties include:

Provide General Office Support
· Prepare/coordinate bulk mailings.
· Run errands (postage, office/event supplies, press materials etc.).
· Monitor office supplies and postage, and purchase more as needed.

Grant, Foundation and Corporate Writing
· Maintain grant files and organize correspondence with granting agencies.
· Assist Executive Director with grant writing and requests to foundations and corporations.
· Assist in collecting support materials.
· Collect standard documentation (calendars, catalogs, press, 501 c 3, audits, etc.).
· Maintain summaries of program by season.

Fundraising
· Assist with logistical support for all fundraising events.
· Provide follow-up for all fundraising events, including (but not limited to) maintenance of financial records, mailings and general assistance.

Public Relations
· Assist with production and mailing of press releases, press kits, and invitations.
· Maintain documentation of all press and media coverage.

Website
· Assist with the maintenance of the Aurora Picture Show website.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Macintosh platform; Software: Photoshop, QuarkXpress, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, AppleWorks; Grant writing; Bookkeeping.
